Much of the research on the historicity of the Biblical account of Jericho comes from the work of archeologist Bryant Wood, Ph.D. He earned his doctorate from the University of Toronto in Canaanite pottery of the Late Bronze Age, the exact timeframe of the conquest of Canaan. He uses the pottery found in Jericho to date the destruction of Jericho to the Late Bronze Age.
